Summer escape, possibly, if everthing goes according to plan

Well some may call us mad, bizarre or just crazy, and they may be right, but the last two weeks in the Charente just confirmed that we miss it, especially our friends.
So much so that we came to the decision to come out for the summer. It soon materialised that most rentals were not for us. The quality was uninterested, amenities lacking and their location and views uninspiring. Essentials such as broadband, comfortable sofas and large super king beds were just not to be found. Then the price, well its wasn’t what l call value for money.
Anything close to our requirements was £3,000 per month, £9,000 for the three.
So we put an offer in for a small property and its been accepted. All we have to do now is wait for it to go through which should be at the end of June. This means we can be out for June and possibly stay until mid September.
More card nights, quarterly dinners, BBQ’s, walks and trips to Espellete and Spain.
The property called Moulin Huet, Le Pignier, is located in Bors not far from Montmoreau, in a clean tranquil hamo.

Have taken a couple of videos that show the exterior and the inside, but alas, they are too large to upload. What’s more pleasing is that it comes all furnished, with cookers, fridges, washing machine, kettles. In fact everything necessary to occupy the house this year. It will also give me some thing to do whilst waiting for the plans to be past in Innellan for our new build retirement home.
It has a bread oven, well, shed and a garage and lots of trees.

In need of some restoration. But will be great for pizzas, the odd pork roast and bread, but possibly only once or twice a year
