Rush down to Dover

Friday 7th up early, in fact we had been up four times through the night looking after Gwen's roaming about on the landing. She spends an hour, in the bathroom and we find that she has fallen asleep on the loo.

Open the curtains at 7am and about 80 hot air balloons are heading over Gwen's house, heading for France. They were trying to beat the world record, and they had picked the perfect day to do it.  

Within fifteen minutes they had all passed over the top of us. Some of the best photographs l saw of the event were on Facebook, taken from another balloon with Dover as a backdrop .
