managed to attend two evening walks, one at Brie and the other at Rioux Martin
Managed to attend two evening walks, both approximately 12k, with the the usual aperitif, followed by a starter, cooked main, cheese, coffee and ice cream. and of course, copious amounts of wine. This year the temperature was excruciating, but the organisers had taken this into consideration and started both walks under the canopy of trees. Its amazing how they cope, but they have it down to a tee, making sure that there is enough room for everyone, plenty of food and wine to go round. The Rioux Martin event attracted nearly 900 walkers. But they staggered the start, which enabled it to work perfectly. The chasse also put on music with their hunting horns, and the Rioux Martin group also provided a jazz group, quite surreal when you come out of the woods to the sound of a jazz band in the middle of nowhere.
Listen to the French horns. Make sure you enlarge the screen once you open it up, and have your sound level up
