Another visit to Glasgow
As well as having a great dinner at the
Riverside Restaurant on the Sunday evening, we then enjoyed a wonderful morning at
the Kelvingrove Museum. There is always something different to see, as well as
the regulars, the art of the Glasgow Boys and the 1pm Organ recital.
Christmas lights all ablaze around the Christmas market in George Square.
There is also a great section on Glasgow, the workshop of the Empire, as well as the militant side during the first world war where it was often called "Red Clydside"
Organ Recital
Then an early tea at a Burger bar called TriBeCa on Dunbarton road, but it was rather disappointing. Would NOT go again.
Then a relaxing walk up Byres road window shopping before catching the bus on Great western back to the hotel in Merchant City.
Then after a bath out to the flix on the corner of Renfrew St and West Nile Street. The tallest Cinema in the world, possibly.
And were amazed by the new JK Rowling's film Fantastic Beasts:The Crimes of Grindlewald. But you must see the films in order, otherwise you wont have a clue what's happening.
But its a grown up version of Harry Potter set in the 20/30s
More info if you are realy interested:
Grindelwald' is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Then before heading back to the hotel we stopped off at BREWDOG for a craft beer. Must say that l was surprised that the top two beers were out of stock and the third was not available due to pipe cleaning. I always expected pipe cleaning to be done once closed in the evening and left overnight and then flushed through the following day before service.
Bizarre. But what l had was great, but l cant wait to start brewing my own IPA.
Realistically, should have visited our usual pub, the lively Horseshoe Bar on Drury street, just off West Nile Street. Always full of people, standing room only. Quick efficient service, great prices and marvellous selection of craft beers ans wines.
