Managed to get all the plasterboard up in the ground floor rooms, as well as finished off the first fix plumbing and electrics.
Then fitted the extra joists in the bathroom and topped it with two layers of caberboard flooring in preparation for the floor tiles.
Couldn't manage to plasterboard the bathroom as it is necessary to buy the combined bath fill and shower fitting fist, as this needs to be fitted first. Plus the style of the bath will also determine the location of waste.
Nevertheless, with the bedroom, wardrobe, utility room and stairwell finished we were lucky enough to get Virgil in to plaster everything.

|

|

Abiding by our new principles of life, we are still taking time off to enjoy life, time to smell the roses, eat drink and be merry.
If we have to pop over to Glasgow for a health check, we take the opportunity to eat out, spend a night away, or even two.
Recently we spent Halloween go around the Botanical Gardens, and the light and music show.
One of my good
friends came over for a few days break to introduce us to his new lady friend.
His wife had died a few years back and he met and old friend who had also lost
her partner. It works very well for both of them. Or seems to. She is very good
for him, keeps him organised and in good fettle.
Went out to Loch fyne
and had a good lunch. John and Sue tried the seafood platter and thoroughly
enjoyed it. Gorged themselves silly. Excellent.
Most evenings we managed to play cards, Canasta one night but the other two nights were spent learning and enjoying a new card game called sevens. Very interesting, but tricky at first.
Prior to that we had a couple of our cruise buddies stay for five nights. Great entertainment. Plenty of laughter, good food, quite a few outings and the odd tipple or two.
Introduced them to Mexican Train. They loved it so much, they bought a travel version and took it on the cruise with them last month.
