Green Northern lights over Loch Lomand. Missed them again
Had the camera set up, on a tripod, timer set, next to the French windows in the bedroom. But nothing. Only a short distance away, they had a glorious light show.
So left with just the early morning sun.
Out again this evening looking for the Northern Lights. But nothing as yet. Although the cloud formation over the moon is amazing
Military exercise may be amended amid concern for whales in Gareloch
Some glorious photos of the whales frolicking around in Loch Gareloch. Seems to be attracting thousand of onlookers, hopefully maintaining social distancing. Will wait until they head back out to sea and hope l’m lucky enough to get a view.
The local news is now looking at various options to overcome the increasing closures on the A83 Rest and be thankful section due to landslides. With headlines referring to an old Clint Eastwood movie - The good, the bad and the ugly. Some fantastic solutions with bridges connecting the mainland to islands, including a bridge over to Dunoon.
Could see this part of the world looking more like Norway, with island hopping to some of the most remotest areas of Argyle. The ferry companies will not be happy.
Love the idea of hopping from Ayrshire to The Island of Cumbria and then onto the Isle of Bute Before crossing back over to Colintraive before crossing another bridge at Otter Ferry to Lochgilphead. Superb route for the drivers and commerce. But very unrealistic.
