Its nearly Christmas so we head out to lunch once again.
This time a simple fish lunch at the Hythe Bay seafood restaurant in Dover.
A pleasant open plan restaurant without any airs and graces
that has tremendous views over Dover harbour. Although today the high winds and rough seas make it very dramatic.
Ferries were rocking and rolling.
The staff were exceedingly helpful and pleasant. Seeing
that we had two 90 tear olds they recommended the smaller portion of Cod which
turned out to be quite sufficient. Even though we all had cod and chips, the
battered cod was tremendous, white, light and fluffy with a crispy coating.
Chips hot and crisp. Good selection of wines by the glass at a reasonable
price.
A very enjoyable outing just before Christmas.
