Things are looking up

Good News!
Went back to the doctors yesterday to find out the results from all the tests and he is happy that it is Poltmyalgia Rhematica PMR, and not Myeloid leukaemia or prostate cancer which he thought it may have been due to my anaemia. I had already told him that l have always been white when deprived of the sun, but he needed to check.
So it’s easy to cure by taking steroids, three Prednisolone each day. In fact I’m feeling some benefit already. Although it may be worse for people around me as it has some startling side effects. I could turn into a hairy Gruffalo (a monster that's half grizzly bear and half buffalo) as it has a tendency to encourage the growth of hair (need some on top) and turn your skin darker, along with it encouraging you to drink and eat more and become aggressive and irritable. So there’s no change there then.

But it should be clear within the next fourteen days, but l need to keep going back to have checks on the blood levels and side effects of the steroids. Another fourteen days of mulling around Gwens, reading, eating and blobbing out. And then we can resume our life as normal.
Hooray

Hairy and brown with a real attitude

Its not such a struggle anymore

Five days in and the tablets are having the right effect, the horrendous pains have disappeared and I don’t have to keep moving about unsettled trying to find some relief. Bloody hell, why couldn’t l have had these little gems four weeks back. The side effects are there, lack of sleep, grumpiness and depression and presently putting on a pound in weight each day. Will be able to start wearing my old cloths again. Only one slight problem, l will have to buy them back from the charity shops.
Still lacking energy, but its truly amazing to have the unrelenting pain removed.

Its party time
Not quite, but should be back to fighting fitness within four weeks time, fingers crossed.

May have the energy to continue with the plans and the land purchase in Innellan.
Have had some of the quotes in and presently looking good.
Have drawn the preliminary plans and elevations and the Planning department seem happy that it will be passed.
