Back to Innellan to meet Jill and Chris from Australia
After food, drink and a good nights rest, we are off for a walk at Puck's Glen, just on the other side of Dunoon |
The walk was amazing through a man made Glen constructed by the Younger Family from the Edinburgh brewing family, the original owners of the Benmore Botanic Gardens.
Good starter for ten. Then it was home for a few tinnies, wine, fish cakes and a movie. But everyone fell asleep before it finished.
Chris helped me replace the broken slabs and then it was off for another walk. This time over to Portavadie. More standing stones, some that had decided not to stand, the odd castle and some fantastic secluded bays.
More importantly we finished the walk at the hotel tucking into some gorgeous battered haddock, chips, bread and butter and a delightfully refreshing cup of tea. Well Chris had beer and Jill had wine.
Then we met the kayackers from the other day who had set up camp near the marina.
They did there bit by going round collecting all the rubbish that had been left or washed up on the beach. We did our bit by transporting the ten big plastic bags to the dump in the marina.
The pressure is keeping up.
Next day we shoot off to Inverary along the shores of Loch Fyne, home of the Oyster restaurant and farm.
Good slog upto the top and the Folly, Who's l wonder? |
Judith has been hitting the bottle again. |
